# Retrieve Serial Number on iOS Devices

How to Find the Serial Number on Your iPhone or iPad
## **Purpose**
This article explains how to locate the serial number on your Apple iOS device (iPhone or iPad) for inventory and support purposes.
## **Applies to**
* iPhone (all models)
* iPad (all models)
* iOS / iPadOS devices

## **Instructions**
### **Method 1 – Via Settings (Recommended)**
1. Open the **Settings** app
2. Tap **General**
3. Tap **About**
4. Locate **Serial Number**
5. (Optional) Tap and hold the serial number to copy it
### **Required Information**
Please provide:
* A screenshot of the **About** page
**OR**
* The **Serial Number** (copied and pasted)
### **Example**
The serial number is shown on the same screen as:
* Device Name
* iOS Version
* Model Name
* Model Number
* **Serial Number**


### **Method 2 – Alternative (if device is not accessible)**
If your device is unavailable:
* Check the original box
* Or check your Apple ID device list (if known)


## **Notes**
* Do **not** share your IMEI unless specifically requested
* Ensure the screenshot clearly shows the serial number
