How to Find the Serial Number on Your iPhone or iPad

Purpose

This article explains how to locate the serial number on your Apple iOS device (iPhone or iPad) for inventory and support purposes.

Applies to

• iPhone (all models)
• iPad (all models)
• iOS / iPadOS devices

Instructions

Method 1 – Via Settings (Recommended)

1. Open the Settings app
2. Tap General
3. Tap About
4. Locate Serial Number
5. (Optional) Tap and hold the serial number to copy it

Required Information

Please provide:

• A screenshot of the About page

OR

• The Serial Number (copied and pasted)

Example

The serial number is shown on the same screen as:

• Device Name
• iOS Version
• Model Name
• Model Number
• Serial Number

Method 2 – Alternative (if device is not accessible)

If your device is unavailable:

• Check the original box
• Or check your Apple ID device list (if known)

Notes

• Do not share your IMEI unless specifically requested
• Ensure the screenshot clearly shows the serial number
