How to Sign an Adobe Sign Document Using the Print, Sign, and Upload Method
Open the Agreement: Click the link in the Adobe Sign email notification you received ("Review and Sign," "Click here to review and sign," etc.). This will open the document in the Adobe Sign web interface.
Locate the Options Menu: Look for an Options menu within the signing interface. This is often represented by a gear icon (⚙️) or three vertical dots (⋮), usually located in the upper right or upper left area of the signing window.
Select Print, Sign and Upload:

Confirm (If Prompted): You may see a confirmation message explaining the process. Read it and confirm that you want to proceed with this method.
Download the Document: Adobe Sign will prompt you to download the document as a PDF file. Click the download button and save the PDF to your computer.
Sign the Document (Choose One Method):
Method A: Print, Physically Sign, and Scan
Open the downloaded PDF file.
Print the document.
Sign the printed document clearly using ink in the designated signature areas.
Scan the entire* signed document back into a digital format. Ensure the scan is clear and legible. Saving as a PDF is recommended, but common image formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF) are often accepted as well. Alternatively, you can take a clear, well-lit photo of the entire document.
Method B: Sign Digitally Using Another Tooll
Open the downloaded PDF file using a different application that allows you to place a signature (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, Apple Preview, another third-party PDF tool, or even a simple image editor).
Use the tools within that application to place your signature image or drawn signature onto the document in the correct location.
Important: Ensure you save the modified PDF file with your signature included.
Return to Adobe Sign: Go back to the Adobe Sign signing window in your web browser. It should now be displaying an interface prompting you to upload the signed document. (If you closed the window, clicking the original link in the email should usually return you to the correct step).
Upload the Signed Document:
Click the "Upload" or "Upload Signed Document" button (or similar).
Browse your computer and select the scanned file (from Method A) or the digitally signed PDF (from Method B) that you saved in Step 6.
Wait for the file to upload successfully.
Complete the Process: Once the signed document is uploaded, you will typically need to click a final confirmation button within the Adobe Sign interface, often labeled "Click to Submit", "Done", or "Submit Signed Document". This final click confirms you have completed your action and sends the signed document back to the sender through Adobe Sign.
Confirmation: You should see a confirmation message indicating the process is complete. The sender will be notified that you have signed using this method.
