# Using Teams phone calling in Microsoft Teams

Here's a short checklist for users to follow on how to use Teams phone calling:

1. **Make a Call Using the Dial Pad**:

* Go to the **Calls** tab in Teams.
    
* Enter the number of the person you want to call using the dial pad on the left.
    
* Click **Call** to start the call.

2. **Put a Call on Hold**:

* During a call, select **Hold** at the top of your call window.
    
* To resume the call, select **Resume. **

3. **Set Up Call Forwarding, Call Groups, and Simultaneous Ring**:

* Go to **Settings** > **Calls**.
    
* Under **Call handling and forwarding**, set up how you want your calls to be forwarded or ring simultaneously.

4. **Transfer a Call**:

* During a call, select **More actions** > **Transfer**.
    
* Start typing the name of the person you want to transfer the call to and select them.
    
* Click **Transfer** to complete the transfer.

5. **Park a Call**:

* During a call, select **More actions** > **Park Call**.
    
* Teams will give you a unique code to retrieve the call from another device.

6. **Make Multiple Calls at the Same Time**:

* If you're already on a call, you can answer or start a new call anytime.
    
* Your current call will be placed on hold, and you can switch between calls.
