How to present on a Microsoft Teams Room



Requirements:


- Teams installed
- Access to the internet

Presenting your screen



Before you begin sharing your screen in the Microsoft Teams Room, it is essential to ensure that the Microsoft Teams Room interface is being displayed on the TV. This can be achieved by selecting the correct input on your TV settings.

Once the Microsoft Teams Room is displayed on the TV, you can proceed with the following steps to share your screen with the people in the room. Please note that it is not necessary to join a meeting to share your screen locally.

For Windows users


When Presenting to a Microsoft Teams Room, there are 2 ways to accomplish this. either wirelessly or using a cable.

Wireless Presenting


Step 1 Open the Microsoft Teams application on your computer.
Step 2 Click on the 3 dots in the right hand upper corner of the screen for the settings and more dropdown.
Step 3 Click on the Cast Option in the list.

Step 4 Choose the Microsoft Teams Room that you are currently in from the list and click Next.
Rooms
Step 5 Choose what to cast to the Microsoft Teams Room. The options are: The whole screen, a seperate window or a specific PowerPoint file using PowerPoint Live. Click on the Cast button and the room will now be invited.

Step 6 On the Microsoft Teams Room Console accept the meeting request to start presenting your screen.

Wired Presenting


Step 1 Walk up to the Microsoft Teams Room Console that is situated on the table and connect your laptop to the included USB-C/HDMI cable.
Step 2 The Microsoft Teams Room will automatically detect that a device has been connected and start the Sharing option automatically. Make sure that your laptop screen is set to Duplicate instead of Extend. Pressing the Windows Key + P on your keyboard will bring up the settings popup where you can select Duplicate.

Step 3 At the end of your meeting, disconnect the cable and the Microsoft Teams Room will automatically stop the screensharing.


iOS and Android


!Please be aware that you need to be signed in with an account on the Microsoft Teams app to Present your screen!
Step 1 Open the Teams app on your mobile device.
Step 2 Tap Cast in the navigation bar. If you do not see the cast option, tap More... to access it.

Step 3 Your mobile device will now look for nearby Rooms. Tap the Room that you are currently in.

Step 4 Choose the option that you would like to use for the presenting options. Choose Project my screen to share your phone screen and any apps that are on it. Choose Project a PowerPoint to only project a PowerPoint file to the Microsoft Teams Room.

Step 5 On the Microsoft Teams Room Console accept the meeting request to start presenting your screen.
Step 6.a For Android Only, Click on Start Casting in the popup to start casting your screen.
Step 6.b For iOS Only, Select Microsoft Teams on the popup and then Start Broadcast.
