Using Teams phone calling in Microsoft Teams

Here's a short checklist for users to follow on how to use Teams phone calling:

Make a Call Using the Dial Pad:

Go to the Calls tab in Teams.

Enter the number of the person you want to call using the dial pad on the left.

Click Call to start the call.

Put a Call on Hold:

During a call, select Hold at the top of your call window.

To resume the call, select Resume.

Set Up Call Forwarding, Call Groups, and Simultaneous Ring:

Go to Settings > Calls.

Under Call handling and forwarding, set up how you want your calls to be forwarded or ring simultaneously.

Transfer a Call:

During a call, select More actions > Transfer.

Start typing the name of the person you want to transfer the call to and select them.

Click Transfer to complete the transfer.

Park a Call:

During a call, select More actions > Park Call.

Teams will give you a unique code to retrieve the call from another device.

Make Multiple Calls at the Same Time:

If you're already on a call, you can answer or start a new call anytime.

Your current call will be placed on hold, and you can switch between calls.
