Using Teams phone calling in Microsoft Teams
Here's a short checklist for users to follow on how to use Teams phone calling:
- Make a Call Using the Dial Pad:
- Go to the Calls tab in Teams.
- Enter the number of the person you want to call using the dial pad on the left.
- Click Call to start the call.
- Put a Call on Hold:
- During a call, select Hold at the top of your call window.
- To resume the call, select **Resume. **
- Set Up Call Forwarding, Call Groups, and Simultaneous Ring:
- Go to Settings > Calls.
- Under Call handling and forwarding, set up how you want your calls to be forwarded or ring simultaneously.
- Transfer a Call:
- During a call, select More actions > Transfer.
- Start typing the name of the person you want to transfer the call to and select them.
- Click Transfer to complete the transfer.
- Park a Call:
- During a call, select More actions > Park Call.
- Teams will give you a unique code to retrieve the call from another device.
- Make Multiple Calls at the Same Time:
- If you're already on a call, you can answer or start a new call anytime.
- Your current call will be placed on hold, and you can switch between calls.
