Using Teams phone calling in Microsoft Teams


Here's a short checklist for users to follow on how to use Teams phone calling:


  1. Make a Call Using the Dial Pad:


  • Go to the Calls tab in Teams.
  • Enter the number of the person you want to call using the dial pad on the left.
  • Click Call to start the call.


  1. Put a Call on Hold:


  • During a call, select Hold at the top of your call window.
  • To resume the call, select **Resume. **


  1. Set Up Call Forwarding, Call Groups, and Simultaneous Ring:


  • Go to Settings > Calls.
  • Under Call handling and forwarding, set up how you want your calls to be forwarded or ring simultaneously.


  1. Transfer a Call:


  • During a call, select More actions > Transfer.
  • Start typing the name of the person you want to transfer the call to and select them.
  • Click Transfer to complete the transfer.


  1. Park a Call:


  • During a call, select More actions > Park Call.
  • Teams will give you a unique code to retrieve the call from another device.


  1. Make Multiple Calls at the Same Time:


  • If you're already on a call, you can answer or start a new call anytime.
  • Your current call will be placed on hold, and you can switch between calls.
